Ok, I guess I gotta reign in some of the negativity around the Zoom X5. Since the latest firmware update, it's been pretty stable. Status says:
The following reboots have occured for ISPs DSLAM:

The Zoom X5 adsl modem/router is such a flaky piece of junk I ended up evolving a series of scripts in order to keep it running and reboot it automatically when it hangs or when it drops NAT. The result is a python daemon I call status. Due to my experiences with the X5 and Zoom technical support (refused to acknowledge a NAT bug and just quit responding after a while), I no longer recommend buying Zoom products. There is a new firmware release (v3.2) available that may clear up some of the bugs in (v3.1.2) although I haven't been running it long enough to tell.
